CHANGING OF THE GUARD

-

33 YEARS

Long-serving Teck Resources Ltd. vice-president Greg Waller will retire in the middle of next year, the company said Wednesday, the latest in a wave of demographic attrition that has gone through executive ranks this year. Teck CEO Don Lindsay, in a news release, said Waller will leave next year after 33 years, which stretches back to his 1984 start with Cominco Ltd. and continued through that firm’s 2001 merger with Teck. Waller was appointed head of investor relations in 2006, where he is now vice-president of investor relations and strategic analysis. In February, four long-serving Teck senior executives announced they would retire, including then-COO Ian Kilgour.
