Lougheed House

Built in 1891 for Senator James Alexander Lougheed and his wife, this sandstone mansion was once a social hub for aristocrats from Calgary and beyond, but it became a possession of the city during the Great Depression. Extensive restoration work in the 1980s returned the manor and its gardens to their original splendour. Lougheed House offers a great atmosphere for afternoon tea as well as diverse educational programs.
