Cape Forchu Lightstation

Travellers have been welcomed by Cape Forchu since Samuel de Champlain, the father of New France, arrived in 1604. Known as the Beacon to Canada, Cape Forchu Lightstation won and crowdfunded $35,000 to restore and reinstall its original lens in one of the National Trust’s This Place Matters competitions.
