Rinku Talks About ‘Junooniyat’ Going Off Air: It’s Like A Family Breaking Up

-

MUMBA: Known for her work in the shows like ‘Durgesh Nandini’, ‘Mohe Rang De’, ‘Mrs. Pammi Pyarelal’ etc, actress Rinku Ghosh has expressed sadness that her show ‘Junooniyat’ is soon going to be off air, adding that every end has a new beginning.

The popular show has been entertaining the viewers with its story of love and music, spearheaded by Ankit Gupta (Jahaan), Gautam Singh Vig (Jordan), and Neha Rana (Elahi).

Talking about the show going off air, Rinku said: “Well, at first, I was a little sad. I was not prepared for this to end so soon, as the show is doing well. It’s the second highest time spent on the channel in the friction category, people too were loving it.”

“While doing a serial there are many bonds you make with your co-actors as we spend most of our time with each other. So, it’s like a family is breaking. But now I take it as the beginning of another new chapter. Every end has a new beginning,” said the ‘Imtihaan’ fame actress.

Rinku further said: “TV industry is very unpredictable, and anything can happen anytime. It all depends on the people what content they like or dislike. So, I just go with the flow and concentrate on my work and character.”

On her upcoming plans, the actress shared: “I’m looking for a really strong pivotal role. I just cannot do a character which does not add any value to the main story line.”

“As I said earlier that in TV the content’s likes and dislikes depend on our viewers. Sometimes they get stuck to one particular show that they are watching. Whereas there maybe/are better shows on different channels. Hence to make them shift to a different show can take time,” she added.

Produced by Sargun Mehta and Ravie Dubey under the banner of Dreamiyata Entertainment, ‘Junooniyat’ airs on Colors.

MUMBAI: The Indian reboot of the iconic Japanese game show ‘Takeshi’s Castle’ is exclusively on Prime Video with eight episodes, and and began stream in India from November 2.

In a trailer that was released last week, Bhuvan Bam brings on an entirely new vibe to his commentary and is shown as more than a match for Javed Jaffrey’s legendary commentary.

Full of Indian references, the dubbing of Bhuvan Bam is incredibly self-aware as he voices it with the same voice and personality of his BB Ki Vines character Titu Mama.

Kidnapped at gunpoint from his shoe store by the Yakuza, Titu Mama recreates the childhood nostalgia in after being revived after 34 years, and it is very aware of all the social media meme trends which it makes plenty of references which Indian audiences are almost 100 percent guaranteed to get.

Bhuvan Bam as ‘Titu Mama’ is also seen paying a tribute to the show’s seasoned commentator and beloved fan-favourite, Javed Jaffrey, along with a nod to his film ‘Jajantaram Mamantaram’.

The brand new version of the show retains all of its ‘80s oddities, featuring goofy get ups, funny challenges, and deliberately goofy VFX, as such retaining all the eccentric, adrenaline-fueled elements of the original version.

Actor-content creator Bhuvan Bam said: “‘Takeshi’s Castle’ has been an integral part of my formative years and the commentary by Javed sir is etched as a core memory that still cracks me up. So, when I was presented with the opportunity to be a part of its reboot, my excitement was boundless. As I previewed the new version, glimpses of which can be seen in the trailer, I decided that Titu Mama from BB Ki Vines, with his desi accent, uncle-nextdoor personality and unique perspectives, would be the perfect fit to provide the commentary.”
