Welland man injured in home invasion
Niagara Regional Police are searching for suspects after a Welland home was robbed Saturday night by three men armed with a knife and a firearm. Police say the residents of the property near First Avenue and Woodlawn Road were home when the robbery occurred about 10 p.m. One resident sustained a minor injury during the robbery. The suspects, described as three black males, dressed in black and wearing masks, stole cash and personal possessions from one of the residents. Police say they believe the home was targeted by the suspects and it was not a random act. The suspects fled on foot. Anyone with any information is asked by police to contact Det. Sgt. Rob Moore of the Welland detective office at 905-735-7811.
