ARTISTS FILL DOWNTOWN PORT COLBORNE

Artists and musicians lined up the streets of downtown Port Colborne during the seventh annual Art Crawl Saturday. The event is a collaborat­ion of the art community and local businesses. Port Colborne locals Connie Stolk and Leslie Stephenson participat­ed in creating their own Canada flag T-shirts during the event. They said they were enjoying participat­ing in the event. To celebrate Canada 150 Gail Todd, owner of the store Something Else, provided T-shirts and art supplies for event goers to get creative. Todd anticipate­d more than 200 T-shirts would be created during the event. Artist Melani Pyke, from Crystal Beach, attended the Art Crawl for the first time Saturday. Although she hadn’t sold any art by midday, she said she was making great contacts. Pyke said the event was enjoyable and she would like to participat­e again next year.
