Wells of Hope Passion event at winery tonight

After many years at Mori Gardens, Wells of Hope’s Passion fundraising event moves to Chateau des Charmes Winery in Niagara-on-the-Lake tonight. Wells of Hope chairman Scott Maxwell said there’s excitement about the new venue, which assists with some of the infrastructure and logistical needs to host a fundraising event. “It’s a new re-invigoration of Passion. Mori Gardens was fantastic, and this is just another beautiful setting,” said Maxwell. “Chateau des Charmes is a world-class winery, and we think it will be a great spot.” Tonight’s event will feature 13 food stations, including those of Vintage Hotels, Canyon Creek and Chang Noi. Expertly paired with this cross-section of the best of Niagara will be a variety of fine wines from Chateau des Charmes. To complete the beverages, Oast House Brewery and Cool Beer will also be serving. Sandy Wine and the Midnights will again perform. A silent auction will help to provide much needed funds for the charity to provide clean water to the community of Jalapa, Guatemala. Wells of Hope plans to work on two new schools, has just finished its school project this year and hopes to build two new wells, which would bring its total number to 16.
