Judge orders men out of Falls

-

A Hells Angels member and an associate have been banned from entering Niagara Falls for the next two years, with the exception of attending sanctioned boxing matches.

In Ontario Court of Justice in St. Catharines on Wednesday, Trevor Pittman, 27, from Hamilton, and Christopher Jackson, 33, from British Columbia, agreed to enter into a twoyear common- law peace bond in relation to an incident at a Niagara Falls strip club which sent one man to hospital.

After entering into the peace bond, criminal charges of assaulting causing bodily harm were dismissed against both men.

Judge Joseph Nadel warned the pair that, although the charges had been quashed, they must abide by the terms of the peace bond or risk charges of failing to comply with a court order.

“This is not a criminal conviction, but it is a judge’s order,” he told the men. “Your behaviour is bound for the next two years by these terms … these terms have teeth.”

For the next 48 months, court was told, the two men cannot enter Niagara Falls but they can attend sanctioned boxing matches as long as they inform police of the upcoming matches. Once the event is completed, they must “immediately” leave the city.

The duo are boxing promoters with Hamilton- based Three Lions Promotions. Court was told they plan to be in Niagara Falls on Friday to attend Thunder in the Falls at Scotiabank Convention Centre.

Also, Pittman and Jackson must steer clear from the complainant and not have any weapons in their possession for the duration of the bond.

In a news release issued by Niagara Regional Police after their arrest in November 2016, Pittman is referred to as a member of the Hells Angels biker gang.
