Halyel y ey BBaacckkuu s & MMicichhee­llle Coyne – LLaakkeess­idid e VVisiisoin­on Centre Dr. Haley Backus and Dr. Michelle Coyne started Lakeside Vision Centre in January 2016 after taking over Dr. Jane Parr's existing optometry practice of over 40 years. The practice name and logo was inspired by the lakeside community of Port Colborne as well as Dr. Parr's love for sailing. Haley Backus has been working at this office since she graduated in 2009 from New England College of Optometry. She grew up in Port Dover and currently lives in Fenwick with her husband and young daughter. Dr. Michelle Coyne has been working at the office since graduation in 2014 from The University of Waterloo Optometry. She grew up in Fenwick and recently got married to her husband, who is also an Optometris­t.

Brianne Carter– Buck Marketing

Brianne is the owner and founder of Buck Marketing in Port Colborne. She has lived in Port Colborne nearly her entire life and is

a lover of the region, continuing her education in both Marketing and Public Relations from Niagara College. She leads a team of digital marketing experts and graphic designers while at the same time providing communicat­ions consulting, education and strategic marketing services. Her expertise in social media and love for mentorship has led her to teach social media success classes through the Small Business Enterprise Centre as well as become a mentor with Literacy Link Niagara in a reverse mentoring program. Brianne is passionate about marketing strategies and bringing businesses together to succeed. She's won an award for her volunteer efforts on both the NEXTNiagar­a and Women in Niagara councils and continues to volunteer her time and skill set. She enjoys following the latest trends and technologi­es and is a millennial that just doesn't stop!
