Sierra Orfei

Siierra aims to be the best she can be to help those in need, and volunteeri­ng is something that she holds close to heart. As a student, she is involved in the band, choir, the chaplaincy committee, mathletes, and the annual Gator Walk Committee. Sierra is also the leader for school retreats at the Jericho Spiritual Centre. She is an active member of her Parish, St. Therese of Lisieux where she is a Lector at mass. Sierra was selected as the recipient of a special donation from

RBC Royal Bank, and she used the funds to make Christmas stockings that she donated to Port Cares. Sierra looks forward to her continued involvemen­t in the community and sharing her time with peers, family, and friends of Port Colborne

Paige Risidore

Paige is a grade 11 student at Lakeshore Catholic High School who has a passion for volunteeri­ng and working with individual­s who have special needs. Through her volunteer work, Paige is dedicated to bringing awareness to the importance of inclusion in our schools and within our community. Over the past 6 years, Paige has organized three different fundraiser­s to raise money for Red Roof Retreat and Muscular Dystrophy. With all her experience in and passion for this field, Paige plans to become an Occupation­al Therapist at the Niagara Children’s Centre in St. Catharines.

Brady Young

Brady has grown up in the Port Colborne and Wainfleet community, and is currently in his senior year at Port Colborne High School. Outside of school he has played soccer and hockey in Wainfleet, and is involved with both of those, as well as, volleyball at school. Brady enjoys working hands-on, and one of his favourite classes in school being manufactur­ing where he learned to machine and weld. Along with this, geography is another of his favourite classes, due to his interest in traveling and spatial analysis. Through geography he currently has the opportunit­y to compete in the province for the Geographic Informatio­n Systems skills competitio­n. Brady is also employed part-time at Sobeys in Port Colborne stocking shelves and helping customers. Brady has been able to volunteer at the Port Colborne Food Bank and at his Church in the past few years. This summer Brady hopes to travel as much as possible, along with volunteeri­ng at a summer camp and spending time with friends and family. Brady’s future goals are to attend either the University of Western Ontario or the University of Waterloo for Civil Engineerin­g in the fall of 2018.
