Dave DeGrave started his business as Hartzel Auto Service in 2001 on Hartzel road in St Catharines as a full service preventative maintenance and repair centre. He quickly became successful with his business ideal that customer care was essential in that we track everything and know your vehicle. When it needs service or preventative maintenance we will email or call to let you know service or maintenance is required and arrange an appointment. We also do digital inspections on every vehicle and email the results to our customer so they have a copy with pictures and can budget for upcoming repairs or maintenance of their vehicle. We also perform dealer scheduled maintenance that is honoured under their warranty. Life is busy so we take the responsibility to manage your vehicle maintenance therefore giving you one less thing for you to deal with. Hartzel Auto Marine uses Napa quality parts and is a certified Napa Auto Care Centre that offers their customers a 20,000km or 1 year warranty parts and labour for all repairs. We also have new tires in stock and can store your winter tires saving you time and space. We also have an exhaust bending machine so can repair that too along with custom and stainless steel exhaust and now servicing hybrid and electric vehicles In 2008 having his boat at the garage, customers started asking if we repaired boats and as Dave saw a demand for boat repairs he expanded his business by moving to a bigger facility in 2010 to 96 Ormond street south in Thorold. This location was perfect as it is easily accessible to the whole Niagara region and is now known as Hartzel Auto Marine. We service; repair; maintain and have parts for all makes and models of boats (up to 30ft) and motors (inboard and outboard) and pride ourselves on getting you back in the water quickly as boating season is short enough without being laid up for repairs. Hartzel Auto Marine is a well-equipped shop including a test tank so motors can be run under real conditions which is what gives us the confidence that it has been repaired properly before it’s returned to the customer. We have all the right tools, including scanner for the newer models the knowledge and equipment to handle all your marine requirements.
