HORTON, Anne Marie

After a valiant, dignified, courageous fight to remain with us, Anne succumbed to her injuries at the Hamilton General Hospital on Saturday, June 16, 2018 at the age of 61. Beloved wife of Richard Horton. Cherished mother of Karen Petriello (Rocco), Dave Maitre (Tammy), Danny Maitre (Joanne) and stepmother of Joe Adams, Jeffery Horton (Erika) and Alex Horton. Proud and loving grandmother of Stephanie Nemeth, Nathanial Balayewich, Thorm Payson, Damon Maitre, Gavin Maitre, Jenna and Jeffery Horton and greatgrandmother of Sophia and Olivia. Dear sister of Ron Sproule (Kate), John Sproule (Cherrie) and Sandra Donaldson (Mike). Also survived by brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, many nieces, nephews and her faithful companion Sammy. Predeceased by her parents Franklyn and Marion Sproule (Davidson).

Anne was employed at Wal-Mart in Niagara Falls for many years. Above all, her greatest passion and joy in life was her family and her friends. As her family grew, her children, grandchildren and greatgrandchildren became the apples of her eye. She touched many lives on her life’s journey and her influence on those left behind will ensure she is never forgotten.

Respecting Anne’s wishes, cremation has taken place and her family will honour her memory privately at this time. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the Humane Society with cards available at the H.L. Cudney Funeral Home,
