The family of Vito Tassone are deeply saddened to announce his passing at Garden City Manor on Saturday, July 7, 2018 at the age of 95. Beloved husband of Maria Tassone. Dearly loved father of Connie (Nino) Magliaro, Prudence Caldwell, Nancy Race, Nick (Alida) Tassone, Toni (Rod) Anderson and the late Nicolina ‘Nicky’ (2015). Cherished grandfather of Lina (Garrett), Mary (Paul), Nino Jr., Liam, Samantha (Nathan), Tereza (Chris), Nicholas, Tyler, Joshua, Ryan, Briana and Karissa and great-grandfather of Colton, Leia, Joseph and Casey Vittoria. Dear brother of Frank (Catina), Giuseppina, Vincenzo (Maria), Rosarina, Raffaela (Gino) and brother-in-law of Raffaela. Predeceased by his brother Biagio and his sisters Maria, Concetta, Brunina, Gina and Franceschina. Vito will be lovingly remembered by his many in-laws, nieces and nephews. Vito had a passion for gardening and was an award winning soppresata maker but his greatest love was his family. Friends are invited to call at the PATTERSON FUNERAL HOME, 6062 Main St. visiting Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. at St. Ann’s Church. The Rite of Entombment will follow at Fairview Mausoleum. In memory of Vito, contributions for the care of his special granddaughter Karisa would be appreciated by his family.
