Model aircraft set to take flight at Fun Fly
Excitement will be in the air — and so will the flying machines — Saturday at Walker’s Field in Niagara Falls.
The Niagara Region Model Flying Club is hosting its annual Charity Fun Fly from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Club members will fly their model jets, prop planes and perform aerobatics for the crowd, and the event is open to the public.
Club members from across Niagara get together regularly to fly radio-controlled model airplanes and helicopters. Saturday’s show will raise money for Niagara Children’s Centre.
Walker’s Field is at 10273 Upper’s Lane near Thorold Townline Road. The rain date is July 15.
