Condo development breaks ground in Welland

-

Rinaldi Homes broke ground on a new development in Welland last week.

Drapers Creek will be an exclusive condominium townhome community consisting of 17 units surrounded by forested groves and green space, the company said in a release.

Company president Jerry Rinaldi was joined by Mayor Frank Campion for the groundbreaking at the corner of Webber Road and Clare Avenue.

Clare Avenue was extended to Webber Road in the past year and the city installed a new traffic light at the intersection on the southwest side of Welland.

“We are very happy to have a premium builder like Rinaldi Homes investing in Welland,” said Campion. “Having a family business committed to building and developing communities for happy homeowners is great for the local economy. We look forward to watching another Rinaldi Homes, award-winning community be built in Niagara.”

The company said the development is inspired by famous American architect Frank Lloyd Wright and its previous awardwinning Optimist Village community in Niagara Falls.

It said the luxury bungalow townhomes will be designed to “revel in the beauty surrounding them and connect with nature wherever possible.”

“We are excited to be breaking ground on another townhome community in Welland,” said Rinaldi.

“The views you will have in these townhome units are beautiful, it is such a gorgeous site. We really tried our best to take advantage of all the beautiful scenery in our design.”
