FERBRACHE, Joanne Lucille (nee Payne)

Passed away peacefully with her loving husband by her side at the Henley House Nursing Home in St. Catharines on Sunday, July 29, 2018 in her 71st year. Beloved wife of 50 years to Frederick Ferbrache. Dear and loving mother of Lisa Ferbrache and husband Jeff of Niagara Falls, Deanna and husband Jeff Weir of Smithville and Paul and Laura Ferbrache of St. Catharines. Cherished grandmother of Zachary, Kaytlyne, Liam, Sarah, Reid, Ty, Jaime and Jayden. Dear sister of Mary Morgan (Charles) of Arizona, Eleanor Cook (Gerald) of Welland, Janice Wood of St. Catharines, Wendy Young (Bob) of Fonthill, Mark Payne (Donna) of Fonthill. Also survived by several nieces, nephews and their families. Predeceased by infant brother John Payne and parents Alfred and Rena Payne of Fonthill. Joanne worked as a registered nurse for more then 30 years at the Hotel Dieu Hospital. She never missed a nurses reunion. She enjoyed her crossword puzzles, was an avid reader and took up painting in her later years. Joanne was very strong in her faith and will be missed by all who knew her. The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff at Henley House for their care and compassion. Family and friends will be received at the JAMES L. PEDLAR FUNERAL HOME, 1292 Pelham Street, Fonthill on Wednesday, August 1st from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. The funeral service to honour Joanne’s life will take place at the funeral home on Thursday, August 2nd beginning at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Pleasantview Cemetery.
