SHERIDAN, Eric

Passed away peacefully at the Greater Niagara General Hospital on Monday, July 30, 2018 at the age of 90. Beloved husband of Nancy for 70 years. Cherished father of the late John Sheridan (2012) and Margaret Westlake. Loving grandfather of Adam (Stephanie) Westlake and Eric Westlake and great-grandfather of Mikayla Westlake and Luke Westlake. He will be dearly remembered by Fred Westlake and Mark Lightfoot, whom he always considered family, as well as his furry four-legged companion ‘Cheeky the Cat’. He will also be remembered by his dear friends Wendy and Dave Murray, Judith and Normand, Anne and Judith C. in Carlisle, England. Mr. Sheridan immigrated to Canada in 1957 from Carlisle, England and worked as an engineer with Provincial Crane and Provincial Services. He was a lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus, Gentlemen Songsters, and The Royal Canadian Legion. He was also a member of The Niagara Falls Public Library Board and a past member of The Niagara Falls Humane Society Board. In 2014, he was honoured with a Niagara Falls Volunteer Recognition Award. The family would like to express a heartfelt thank you to the GNGH Staff and Stroke Unit, Dr. MacTavish, and their friends Janet and Dave, and Linda and Harry for all of their help during this difficult time.
