FERRUSI, Angelina (nee Berardi)

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Angelina Ferrusi announces her peaceful passing on August 1, 2018 at the Welland Hospital at the age of 96. Reunited with her beloved husband Panfilo (2001). Loving mother of Antonio (Helen) Ferrusi and Phyllis (Michael) Chindemi. Devoted grandmother of Laura Valta, Tony Ferrusi (Tara Tellier), Michelle (Kevin) Hughes and Mark (Shauna) Chindemi. Great-grandmother to Matthew Valta, Kayden, Axton and Emmerson Hughes, and Rylee, Biishi, Ainslea, Chey and Cedar Chindemi. Angelina is survived by her sisters-in-law Luiga DiBenenetto (Italy), Paolina, Elivra and Maria Ferrusi. She is predeceased by her parents Tomas and Maddalena Berardi, her sister Eldina (Antonio) Lostracco, her mother and father inlaw Antonio and Nicolina Ferrusi, brother in-laws Gaetano, Gino and Aldo Ferrusi and her sister in-laws Consiglia Coccagna, Ida Alessandri and Maria Silvestri. (2000 Merrittville Hwy, Thorold) on Friday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. A Liturgy of the Word outside Mass will take place on Saturday morning at 10:30 a.m. in the Chapel. Memorial donations in Angelina’s memory may be made to the Niagara Health Foundation - Welland Site. The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to all the staff and PSW’s at Royal Rose for their compassionate care of Angelina as well to the nursing staff of the emergency and 6th floor at the Welland Hospital.
