3:20 AM | Wellington County OPP along with Mapleton Fire Rescue and Wellington North Fire Services responded to a fire at a vacant home located on the Sixteenth Line of Mapleton Township. The cause of the fire is unknown and continues to be investigat­ed. Any person with informatio­n regarding this incident should contact the Wellington County OPP at 1-888-310-1122. You may be eligible for a reward from Crime Stoppers of up to $2,000.

1:00 PM | A Township of Perth East resident reported the theft of an all-terrain vehicle from his property along Hwy. 8, east of Shakespear­e. Sometime between 7:30 p.m. on Sept. 23 and the time of the report, unknown person(s) stole the ATV from the property. The ATV had been parked outside of the driving shed and the keys were not with the machine. The vehicle is described as a green and black, 2014 Honda, model T4B, 420cc, also known as a Honda TRX420. The Perth County OPP would like to hear from anyone who has knowledge of this theft or who knows the whereabout­s of the ATV. They can be contacted at 1-888-310-1122.
