TWO VEHICLES COLLIDE NEAR CONESTOGO

7:00 AM | Wellington County OPP received a theft report from Reliable Ford in Fergus. Sometime between 12 a.m. and the time of the report, unknown suspects attended the dealership and made off with four chrome aluminum rims and 20-inch Hankook tires. Anyone with informatio­n regarding this incident should contact the Wellington County OPP at 1-888-310-1122. You may be eligible for a reward from Crime Stoppers of up to $2,000 12:45 PM | The Waterloo Regional Police Break and Enter Auto Theft (B.E.A.T.) team arrested a 35-year-old Kitchener man and a 23-year-old Kitchener woman for theft and possession of a stolen 2013 Ford F150 truck at the farmers’ market in St. Jacobs. The truck was originally stolen from Perth County on Nov. 2. Both were charged with ‘theft of a motor vehicle’ and ‘possession of stolen property over $5,000.’ Other charges include ‘possession of identity documents,’ ‘possession of stolen property under $5,000’ and ‘possession of a controlled drug and substance.’

NOVEMBER 6

5:50 PM | Wellington County OPP officers were called to an apartment in Minto Township where a man who was entering an apartment was assaulted by a man who resided in the building. Another man who resided in the building arrived to assist his friend that was assaulted and a physical altercatio­n took place leading him to being assaulted with an unknown sharp object. He was treated at a local hospital with non-life threatenin­g injuries. As a result, a 58-year-old Palmerston man was charged with ‘assault,’ ‘assault with a weapon’ and ‘assault causing bodily harm.’
