SEPTEMBER 2

5:30 PM | Wellington County OPP responded to a serious collision involving two vehicles driving off highway near Wellington Road 39 north of Guelph. A Nissan pickup truck and Subaru sedan collided head on with each other on a blind corner in a vacant field. Emergency responders transported nine people with injuries to local hospital, while a 13-year-old boy from the Guelph area was transported by air ambulance to a trauma centre. The severity of his injuries was later reduced and he was reported to be in stable condition. Police continue to investigate the collision and charges may be pending.
