Bieber sent notice over lion reports
TORONTO — Pop star Justin Bieber is in hot water over reports that he appeared with young lions at two Toronto events.
Toronto Animal Services said it has sent the singer a notice of violation after receiving two complaints that he “exhibited” lions, which is prohibited.
The department said one complaint relates to Bieber being seen with a white lion cub, the other with a “juvenile lion.”
Photos posted online show Bieber posing with a white lion cub at an engagement party for his father in April, and cradling a young lion while shirtless at his Toronto performance this spring.
A spokesman for Bieber did not respond to requests for comment.
