The 2016 Vancouver Island Motor Gathering is in the history books and we would like to express our gratitude to our staff and the many generous sponsors for their contributions to one incredible show. A special thank you goes to the attraction of the Motor Gathering, the collectors of some of the most valuable and beautiful vehicles on display and of course, the many, many spectators who spent their Sunday with us at the Vancouver Island Motorsport Circuit. All of them have made this year’s Motor Gathering another big success. This year’s event saw over 550 show vehicles and motorcycles, more than 10,000 spectators and most importantly we are extremely proud to support the David Foster Foundation and the Cowichan District Hospital Foundation with over $153,000 in cash donations. The Vancouver Island Motor Gathering has been part of our group since 2012 and we would like to thank our staff for making the show a success each year. First and foremost, we would like to thank Cindy Mui and the marketing team as they are the driving force behind this event. Especially this year, it was an extraordinary effort as we just opened the Vancouver Island Motorsport Circuit and will soon open the Villa Eyrie Resort. Thank you very much for not giving up and for helping us once again to raise funds for our local charities. Another big thank you goes to the 150+ employees from our dealerships that came and helped to provide each visitor and exhibitor a feeling of being part of a wellorganized event. We would also like to highlight one sponsor in particular who took their sponsorship efforts to new levels. Chris Erb, of SupErb Construction deserves an extra credit as he brought on other sponsors to our event totalling over $100,000!! Thank you Chris for all that you do for us. However, every sponsor is important and vital to the success of this event and we would like to thank each and every one of them for their support. Please see them proudly displayed at the Motor Gathering Website and consider them next time you may be in need of their service, as they are also supporters of the local communities on Vancouver Island and especially the Cowichan Valley. Ladies and gentlemen, we now set our sights on 2017 and we will once again welcome the automotive collector car community at the Vancouver Island Motorsport Circuit. Next years event will change slightly in format and will be held on two days on Saturday, August 26 and Sunday, August 27, 2017. Stay tuned for more details in January.
