Performing in operatic harmony

-

UVic students and alumni are active in nearly every arts organization in Greater Victoria, enhancing our region’s vibrant cultural life. Nowhere is this more evident than with Pacific Opera Victoria (POV). A long-standing partnership with the UVic School of Music has played an invaluable role in the development of emerging artists through direct experience. Recent UVic grad Kelsey Wheatley played the Ravenswood Ghost in POV’s Lucia di Lammermoor last year. And this April, soprano Betty Allison—who sang the lead in 2011’s Mary’s Wedding—took the stage alongside fellow UVic music student Kaden Forsberg in A Midsummer Night’s Dream.
