529 app wants too much personal information

The 529 Garage app, for information regarding stolen bikes, appears to be a great idea.
However, upon trying to use it, I noted a significant privacy issue: It is asking for way too much unnecessary information, such as age and one’s Facebook page. All they need is a bike description and contact information — nothing more.
Too many organizations ask for unnecessary private information. This must stop. Stephen Decarie Langford
