Bring back the song for Canada’s flag

On Feb. 15, 1965, Canada’s present flag was introduced.

At the time, I was in Grade 5, and we all had to memorize numerous verses of a new song, Canada’s Flag, to showcase “one red maple leaf on a field of white.” The poignant words were inclusive, patriotic and meaningful.

How lovely it would be to hear school children’s voices bring back this beautiful song in time for Canada’s 150th! Carolyn Burrows Victoria
