Baptist Housing: Arts program assistant wanted at Marrion Village Seniors Housing Community for Friday afternoon watercolour painting class. Role includes but not limited to assisting leader, encouraging community engagement, and helping residents learn new skills and grow in their abilities. Interested? The First Open Heart Society is seeking past patients who would be willing to visit with current patients undergoing surgery to offer support and encouragement. Training provided. FOHS is also looking for persons with skills and interest to volunteer on special committees as follows: website design, marketing, material design, social media and other forms of marketing, and special events. Short- or long- term commitment welcomed. Basic computer skills required. Three positions available: Thursdays, 9 a.m.1 p.m., Mondays, 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. and 1 p.m. - 5 p.m. Garden Volunteers Positions: Beautiful public gardens have openings for volunteers in various areas — Rhodo Garden, propagation, vegetable garden, Japanese garden and more.
