Reservists training on range

Naval reservists from HMCS Malahat will be conducting firearms training at Heals Range in Saanich on Saturday.

The 30 reservists will practise marksmanship and proficiency in small firearms at the range just west of Willis Point Road and Wallace Drive between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.

The Department of National Defence reminds the public that trespassing is prohibited on the range. Anyone who encounters stray ammunition is advised not to touch it, but to call police to make arrangements for disposal.

HMCS Malahat consists of 130 sailors from the Greater Victoria area and is one of 24 naval reserve divisions across Canada.
