Sewage agreements an innovative approach

Kudos to Chief Andy Thomas of the Esquimalt First Nation and Chief Ron Sam of the Songhees First Nation. What an innovative and capacity-building approach to negotiating the “support agreements” relating to the Capital Regional District’s sewage-treatment project.

Our First Nations are partners in the creation of the many exciting possibilities that lie ahead for our region. They are no longer relegated to the role of passenger.
