Name park after homeless advocates

Re: “‘Space-age’ playground rises on site of former tent city,” March 18.

I do hope the city will name the new park beside the courthouse in honour of the people who brought the issue of homelessness to the forefront in Victoria. I will never forget their courage, their fight and the horrible losses they bore along the way.

Perhaps the new artist-in-residence can develop something to remember those we lost, and to remind us that we can end homelessness if we work together. Derek Book Victoria
