ArtSea Makes $5,000 donation to School District 63 Arts in the Schools program

ArtSea, the Community Arts Council of the Saanich Peninsula, is pleased to announce a $5,000 donation to School District 63 for the Arts in the Schools program.

ArtSea President, Diane Thorp, and ArtSea Arts in the Schools Committee Member, Lynn Lott, attended the School District 63 board meeting on Wednesday, March 15, 2017 to present the $5,000 cheque to School District Board Chair, Victoria Martin and Mark Fraser, School District Assistant Superintendent. The ArtSea representatives were delighted to accept unanimous thanks from the board.

The donated funds are used to hire local artists to enhance and enrich students’ experience with the arts. Close to 4,000 students in School District 63 benefit from the program.
