We need 50 dedicated day-of-event volunteers like you to help direct the athletes throughout the run and bike course to keep them safe as well as cheer them on. Arthritis Society: The Walk To Fight Arthritis — walktofigh­tarthrits.ca — will take place in Victoria on Sunday, June 4. The walk unites those who feel the emotional and physical pain of arthritis in communitie­s across the country to fund a cure and improve the lives of those living with arthritis. Victoria Dragon Boat Festival: Registrati­on for the 2017 dragon boat fetival has now begun. Many new and exciting changes have been made this year to make 2017’s festival a great time for everyone involved. Victoria Symphony Splash: seeking volunteers for the Victoria Symphony Splash in a variety of areas such as audience relations, setup/tear-down, collecting donations and helping out in the family zone. It is a chance to meet new people, spend a day in the sun, support live music in the community and be a part of an amazing event. All Splash volunteers will receive a symphony ticket voucher, a volunteer T-shirt and an invitation to the After-Splash volunteer appreciati­on party. The 28th annual Victoria Symphony Splash takes place on Sunday, Aug. 6, where the Victoria Symphony will perform for 40,000 people from a barge in Victoria’s picturesqu­e Inner Harbour.
