Weaver’s treatment of Clark was belligerent

-

Re: “Liberal Speaker might not last long,” June 16. It is amazing how the media can find all kinds of faults with the behaviour of rightwing politicians. Look no further than the treatment of Premier Christy Clark, former prime minister Stephen Harper and now U.S. President Donald Trump.

But the gong show going on in Victoria by the Cheshire Cat brothers gets no comment. I have never liked Green Party Leader Andrew Weaver, but his belligerent behaviour toward Clark showed me he is nothing but power-hungry, a fault he laid on Clark more than once.

He has learned a lot from NDP Leader John Horgan in short order, though, and from my point of view is not afraid to embarrass himself. The people who voted for Weaver must take pride in his behaviour. I wouldn’t. Jim Anderson Victoria
