An opportunity for a government that works

-

Re: “Transformed Clark offers platform with ‘humility, openness to change’,” June 23. My advice to B.C. Liberal MLAs:

Do you want a new and stable government in B.C.? You, ladies and gentlemen, are the answer. Simply cross the floor and join the NDP and Greens. One of you could join the Green Party and, voila, they will have party status, a win for the Greens.

Others could bolster the NDP ranks, a win for the NDP. A solid coalition government could result from your action, a win for the B.C electorate.

True, you ran on a different platform, but that is all gone now, in one throne (thrown) speech. As you are joining the parties that actually ran on your old party’s new platform, it is a win for integrity. Your B.C. Liberal leader should be proud of your floor-crossing, since you are standing up for her most recent “values.”

So please, make the move this coming week — it is a win-win-win situation. Bob Cameron North Saanich
