Trump-haters don’t back up their claims
Re: “Malicious attack on Trump was shameful,” letter, Aug. 19; “Economy is growing with Trump in charge,” letter, Aug. 22.
Isn’t it interesting how the people who favour U.S. President Donald Trump supply examples, references and results to prove their points.
On the other hand, the Trump-haters use empty phrases such as “Trump will cause nuclear war” or “Trump is a Nazi supporter” or “selfish, narcissistic buffoon,” all without much or any evidence to back up their claims. Examples to justify the statements never seem to be necessary, although without them the claims are meaningless.
At no time do they provide suggestions as to who would be a better president and what this better president should do to accomplish all the things Trump will need to accomplish during his term.
Many of the same Trump-haters attend anti-hate rallies and then go home and write letters full of vitriolic hate about the president. Somewhat oxymoronic.
Perhaps the haters should keep in mind the old saying: “Any fool can criticize, complain and condemn — and most fools do. But it takes character and self-control to be understanding and forgiving.”
I’m sure that in this quote Dale Carnegie implied that there is a lot more required to understand and fix implied problems than simply spewing out hate. John Adlersparre Victoria
