Who can vote

• You can vote in the byelection if you are a resident of Saanich or own property within the municipali­ty

• You must be 18 or older and a Canadian citizen who has lived in B.C. for at least six months What you need

• If you are already registered to vote, there is no ID requiremen­t

• If you are not already registered to vote, you must bring at least two pieces of ID that provide your identity and place of residence. One must bear your signature. If you don’t have ID with your address on it, you will need to make a solemn declaratio­n.

• Acceptable ID includes B.C. driver’s licence, identifica­tion or services card; birth certificat­e; passport; certificat­e of Indian status from the federal government; EI statement; utility bill; student card from the University of Victoria, Camosun College or Royal Roads University.
