Take a moment out of your day to listen to a message of remembrance and hope at three events leading up to Remembrance Day. • On Sunday, St. Luke’s Cedar Hill Church will hold a Service of Remembrance to honour veterans buried in its cemetery. The service will start in the church, followed by time in the cemetery to recognize members of the armed services who served in conflict.

At the service, St. Luke’s will recognize the descendants of veterans who are buried in the cemetery. Light refreshments will be served in the church hall after the time of remembrance in the cemetery.

The service starts at 10 a.m. at the church, at the corner of Cedar Hill Cross Road and Cedar Hill Road. For more information, go to stlukesvictoria.ca. • The Sidney Concert Band is hosting a Remembrance Day concert at the Mary Winspear Centre in Sidney on Sunday.

Enjoy band music, vocalists and singing, with Bruce Ham conducting and special guests the Saanich Peninsula Pipe Band.

Tickets for the concert are $15. Doors open at 2, with the concert starting at 2:30 p.m. in the Charlie White Theatre of the Mary Winspear Centre at 2243 Beacon Ave. For tickets, call 250-656-0275.
