Can Payette explain the random process?

Re: “Payette slams fake news and climatechange denial,” Nov. 2.

While I have no issues with the science behind global warming, I have a problem with Gov. Gen. Julie Payette’s apparent attack on a belief in a creator.

As an agnostic scientist (or is she an atheist?), perhaps she could explain to those of us who have a scientific and/or mathematical background: Just how did life appear on Earth by random process?
