Three baseball players from Georgia Southern University — infielders and brothers Jaxxon Fagg and Jeddediah (Jedd) Fagg, and right-handed pitcher Lawson Humphries — will be making the long trek up to Royal Athletic Park next spring and summer.

The Victoria HarbourCats of the West Coast League also announced the signing Thursday of pitcher/outfielder Trevin Reynolds of Colorado-Mesa.

Jaxxon and Jedd Fagg are the sons of Kip Fagg, a Washington State Cougars grad, who is now senior director of amateur scouting with the Texas Rangers.

Jaxxon Fagg, Jedd Fagg and Lawson Humphries are the first players from Georgia Southern to be signed by the HarbourCats.

“Adding another quality program to our network, and getting great players with strong baseball history, is important to continuing to grow our program,” said Jim Swanson, managing partner of the HarbourCats.

“Jedd and Jaxxon are top recruits for us, and we’re excited about Humphries and his track record. [Reynolds] is still excelling at both sides to this point and will have to start focusing on either hitting or pitching at some point.”

Reynolds is a two-way threat who was the MVP of the Kansas Collegiate Baseball League all-star game in 2017, hitting two home runs. The Las Vegas native hit .331 with 35 RBIs, four home runs and 21 extra-base hits in 33 games for the Kansas Cannons.

The HarbourCats open the 2018 season June 1 at home against the Wenatchee AppleSox.
