Inter-Cultural Associatio­n of Greater Victoria:

ICA is looking for income-tax volunteers to help ESL newcomer clients fill out income-tax forms. Previous experience and sound knowledge of the Canadian tax system are required. Another language in addition to English preferred (Mandarin, Cantonese, Arabic); two- to four-hour shifts per week in March, April and May. Is looking for an assistant cooking leader for our Thursday evening kids’ cooking classes. The ideal volunteer enjoys working with kids six to 12 years, has an understand­ing of basic kitchen skills and safety, and works well in a lively environmen­t. Flip-Out Friday Volunteer needed to provide support to Youth Team staff during Flip Out Friday program and engage with youth. Is looking for a musician for Christmas party, Moms & Mentors program. We are looking for someone who is willing to play guitar or keyboard at a Christmas event on Saturday, Dec. 16, from about 11:30 a.m. - 2 p.m. It’s for a group of single moms plus their children and mentors. Looking for some live background music, plus a few singalongs, culminatin­g in Here Comes Santa Claus when he arrives. You’ll be welcome to participat­e in lunch and festivitie­s.
