Legal system can help with abuse cases

-

We are undergoing a massive shift in society relating to sexual abuse. The one in five people who were sexually assaulted when they were younger often wonder if their particular circumstances are enough to move forward in the legal system.

If you were touched by your abuser and that touching made you feel ashamed or guilty, it is worthwhile speaking to a lawyer to see if you would benefit from bringing a criminal or civil case.

Most lawyers will meet with you for free and you can then make an informed choice about whether to move forward.

People often ask about sexual harassment, as well. This is often sexual abuse without touching, but through words and actions. The legal system can help you deal with this bullying.

Good luck.
