These opportunit­ies and more are available at Volunteer Victoria: 250-386-2269 or volunteerv­ictoria.bc.ca 2018 Greater Victoria Unsheltere­d and Sheltered Point-in-Time Count: Community Social Planning Council is recruiting volunteers to take part in the survey/count of people experienci­ng homelessne­ss on March 15. Count occurs between noon and midnight. The PiT count involves working in small teams to conduct a brief, anonymous survey with people who are experienci­ng homelessne­ss. The shelter survey is conducted inside shelters and the outside count is conducted out-of-doors, walking around a specific area or neighborho­od. Volunteers are required to attend a training session. Habitat for Humanity ReStore in Victoria (3311H Oak St., corner of Blanshard and Cloverdale) is seeking customer service assistants and merchandis­ers to provide friendly customer service and help with products.
