These opportunities and more are available at Volunteer Victoria: 250-386-2269 or volunteervictoria.bc.ca 2018 Greater Victoria Unsheltered and Sheltered Point-in-Time Count: Community Social Planning Council is recruiting volunteers to take part in the survey/count of people experiencing homelessness on March 15. Count occurs between noon and midnight. The PiT count involves working in small teams to conduct a brief, anonymous survey with people who are experiencing homelessness. The shelter survey is conducted inside shelters and the outside count is conducted out-of-doors, walking around a specific area or neighborhood. Volunteers are required to attend a training session. Responsibilities include: answering a four-line phone system; greeting visitors to the office and providing information and direction as needed.
