Cochrane and Red Rider play at casino
Eight-time Juno Award winner Tom Cochrane and Red Rider will be part of the grand opening of the expanded Elements Casino in View Royal on May 5.
The Canadian rock legends will be the first artists to grace the stage of the Platinum Room, a 500-seat entertainment space equipped to host a variety of acts and performances.
“We are thrilled and excited to welcome our guests and the community to the grandopening celebration and showcase the multimillion-dollar redevelopment we have been focused on for the past 12 months,” said Chris Lynn, executive director of Vancouver Island Casino Operations for Great Canadian Gaming Corporation.
“I am confident that, with all the new offerings, Elements Casino Victoria will quickly become a major entertainment hub for the whole lower Island marketplace,”
The 70,000-square-foot gaming floor will have 800 slot machines and 25 table games.
The casino’s restaurants include the Well Public House, a casual-dining venue with live entertainment on Friday and Saturday nights; the daily Diamond Buffet; Chi Express, specializing in Asian cuisine; and 1708 Quick Bites, a burger restaurant.
For those who would like to get a sneak peek of the facility prior to May 5, Elements Casino Victoria will have gaming and dining facilities available by late this month, Lynn said.
