Tickets for both nights are almost gone, according to organizers, so plan in advance if you’re hoping to attend. — Mike Devlin, Times Colonist

HIP-HOP

What: DJ Yella and Lil Eazy-E Where: Distrikt, 919 Douglas St. When: Tonight, 10 p.m.

Tickets: $20 at ticketfly.com Why: DJ Yella of N.W.A. fame turned in a spirited solo performance at Upstairs Cabaret in 2015, but for his return tonight he’s bringing company: Lil Eazy E, the son of his former bandmate, late N.W.A. co-founder Eazy-E. Straight Outta Compton brought the sordid tale of rap icons Yella, Eazy-E and co-horts Dr. Dre, Ice Cube and MC Ren to mainstream multiplexes in 2015 — making more than $200 million at the box office and netting an Oscar nomination for best screenplay — so the move to a bigger club makes sense. Despite the increased capacity, expect a full house of oldschool rap fans. — MD

CLASSICAL

What: Beethoven’s Fourth Where: Royal Theatre, 805 Broughton St. When: Sunday (2:30 p.m.) and Monday (8 p.m.) Tickets: $32–$85 at rmts.bc.ca, by phone at 250-386-6121, or in person at the Royal McPherson box office.

Why: Two performances of Beethoven’s Symphony No. 4 — once described as “celestial sweetness” by composer Hector Berlioz — are not the only order of business for the Victoria Symphony on Sunday and Monday. Joining the orchestra under the baton of Christian Kluxen is Calgary pianist Krzysztof Jablonski, who will undoubtedly dazzle on Saint Saëns’ Piano Concerto No. 2, the French composer’s most popular piano concerto. — MD
