Volunteer Fair: If you are looking to find a meaningful and enjoyable volunteer opportunit­y in the community, why not come to the Volunteer Fair on Tuesday, March 27, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Helmut Hubert Annex (next to the Cafeteria) of the Interurban Campus of Camosun College. Representa­tives from 16 community agencies will be in attendance to greet people and talk about the numerous engaging volunteer opportunit­ies that they have available. Organized by Volunteer Victoria and hosted by the Co-operative Education and Career Services Department at Camosun, this informativ­e and free event is open to all who are looking for volunteer experience. If you want to meet some interestin­g people, get out in the fresh air, talk to individual­s who are working for innovative and caring community-based organizati­ons, have fun, and in the process possibly find the right volunteer opportunit­y for you, then please consider yourself invited to attend the free March 27 Volunteer Fair at Camosun Interurban, 4461Interu­rban Rd.

The Mount Tolmie Community Associatio­n: Is seeking board members and a vice-president. Successful candidates must work or live in the MTCA boundary area. They should also have an interest in governance and the community

within the MTCA boundary area. The positions involve an average of 10 hours per month that also includes attending meetings. For more informatio­n, please email info@mtca.ca.

Volunteers are needed for our annual Quadra Village Day! Various roles include set-up/take-down, serving ice cream, running children’s activities, face painting, manning barricades and more. Network Friend: We are looking for a volunteer to build a friendship with an independen­t man in his early 40s with a developmen­tal disability. Some activities he would enjoy doing with a friend include: going for walks, going out for coffee, playing pool, interactin­g with animals (e.g. walking dogs), boating, fishing, swimming and attending community events.
