B.C. can’t dictate to rest of country
The federal government needs to step up and act in the interests of the nation and our economy.
The sun might set on the West Coast, but it has travelled over nine other provinces and millions of people who need to see our energy sector developed without the bleating of special-interest groups, several of which are funded and supported by interests outside Canada.
The whole ecology, environment and global-warming fraud has grown tedious. The nuts and flakes that have been spoon-fed the concept that they can rule over interprovincial projects need a rude awakening.
They are organized and trained by paid professionals who appear in the background at most B.C. protest events.
British Columbia accounts for 13.1 per cent of our population and about 13.09 per cent of our GDP. Some B.C. residents with their knickers in a knot cannot be allowed to dictate terms to the remaining 87 per cent of the nation. Failure to proceed with energy projects to move petroleum products will harm all of us. There are billions in investments and tens of thousands of jobs, direct and indirect, on the line.
The unelected, undisciplined and often lawless green granola crowd needs a permanent injunction preventing them from protesting within two miles of any energy-related project. We need an investigation into who is supporting these protests and how they are financed, along with strict legislation preventing any environmental group from receiving funding from other than Canadian sources.
