MUSIC IN THE VINEYARD BISTRO

The Vineyard Bistro, with 65 seats inside and a 65-seat fireside patio, overlooks a farm, a vineyard and a koi fish pond. Inside, you’ll find gorgeous woodwork, bistro style seating, local artwork, live local entertainm­ent and chef inspired menus. The Roost also pours their own estate wines to pair with the bistro menu. The Roost is located at 9100 East Saanich Rd.

Styles include, but are not limited to rock, R&B, country, folk, ballads, classical, Spanish and finger style. Peter, a fan favourite at The Roost, has a silky smooth, deep singing voice. Easy to listen to, whether he’s playing an intimate one-on-one serenade or a deep raspy rock voice amplified in a large group.

If you’re looking for an evening of musical surprises, check out this local, three-piece cover band who met not long ago through their kids’ elementary school. Featuring James Felix – MD and dad, Jen Blaikie – graphic artist and mom, and Jeff Strosher – engineer and dad.

The Roost’s paint night – meet Rose, the resident artist. Come early with friends and family for dinner or appies, a drink and a paint brush for a night of art shivoo-ing. 19+ years to participat­e.

May 25 and 26, 6 to 8 p.m. SEAN MCCOOL

Sean plays guitar, keyboards, bass and has sung with numerous pop, rock and country bands from the 70s to the present. He’s played in the orchestra pit for musicals, on cruise ships with a four-piece band, and more recently, led the Starlight Pops Choir Combo.
