Saanich Strawberry Festival at Elk/Beaver Lake on July 8 — 11 a.m.-3 p.m. This event originated as a celebration of the agricultural roots of Saanich and has blossomed into a grand festival for all ages. Activities include: entertainment stage, information displays, face painting, program demonstrations, arts and craft stations, bouncy castles and traditional servings of strawberries and ice cream. Volunteers are needed to supervise children’s activities, host the public by providing information and directions and scoop and serve more than 3,000 servings of ice cream as well as other tasks. Volunteers need to be personable, safety conscious, responsible, enjoy working the public, responsive to a variety of situations and follow directions well. Volunteer for Victoria Symphony
Splash! On Sunday, Aug. 5, from a floating stage in the picturesque Inner Harbour, the Victoria Symphony and special guests will give a magnificent performance ending with a grand finale complete with fireworks. Greater Victoria Down Syndrome
Society: Is seeking volunteers to help out at our GO21 Walk and Fun Day for Down Syndrome on June 3. We are looking for people to help out with the kids’ activities, setup and/or cleanup, and as marshals along our short walking route.
