Saanich Strawberry Festival — Elk/Beaver Lake, July 8 - 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Volunteers are needed to supervise children’s activities, host the public by providing informatio­n and directions and scoop and serve more than 3,000 servings of ice cream as well as other tasks. Volunteers need to be personable, safety conscious, responsibl­e, enjoy working the public, responsive to a variety of situations and follow directions well.
