Sidney’s Street Market has been a holiday highlight on the Island for more than 17 years. Thursday nights, June to August, Sidney’s main street, Beacon Avenue is closed to traffic and transforme­d into one of the most spectacula­r, festive street markets in the province.

The culminatio­n of the Summer Theatre program, the musical adventures of Alice continue when Alice is put on trial for being both

too big and too little – at the same time. Can she convince the Queen of Hearts that she is innocent, or will it be off with her head? A fun musical based on the characters from the Lewis Carroll classic. One night only.

Variety Fare’s Curtain Up Saturday, Aug. 4, 8 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 5, 2 p.m. Mary Winspear Centre

‘Curtain Up’ features the music of Broadway and Hollywood, highlighte­d by the singing of the octet, Variety Fare, with Bob LeBlanc at the piano, featuring the comedy and mimic artistry of Steve Ivings. Music includes tunes from wellknown shows such as “My Fair Lady”, “Guys and Dolls” and highlights TV favourites, as well as artists such as Frank Sinatra.

Goat Yoga at Victoria Lavender Victoria Lavender 1899 John Rd., Sidney

Experience Goat Yoga at Victoria Lavender. Summer classes every Saturday and Sunday at 9:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Classes are outdoors in one of the beautiful paddocks and are one hour with an optional 30 minutes after class for goat cuddles and photos. The farm features 10,000 lavender bushes in production, strolling gardens, a rare bird display and a breeding herd of Nigerian Dwarf Goats. The main field is in bloom through June, July and August and the gardens feature many varieties in full bloom throughout the summer months.
